Description

Seki City is located in Gifu prefecture ,north of Nagoya.This area has been a center of KATANA sword production since the 13th century, but is now better know for its production of stainless type knives, high-quality pocket knives, scissors, and nail clippers. The blue handle is quite striking, which was what attracted me to it in the first place. It is made of carbon fiber-like composite material with a white spacer. Unfortunately, the seller was unable to relay the exact material the handle is made up of. This blade is beautifully constructed with a blade geometry in between a laser profile and a midweight profile. The material is SG2 which is a great stainless steel material. It is highly resistant to corrosion (rust) and has great edge retention properties. The cladding line is striking where the damascus pattern ends.
